Reese Witherspoon has once again shown that her passion for the arts goes beyond mere appreciation—she is a true art aficionado.
The actress and producer made an appearance at Ashley Longshore’s ROAR! portrait series in Nashville this week, and those in attendance couldn’t help but notice her deep engagement with the artwork.
According to sources, Witherspoon wasn’t just casually browsing—she was fully immersed in the experience. “Witherspoon was extremely interested in every aspect of the exhibit. She moved from painting to painting, studying each brushstroke, color choice, and fabric detail like a seasoned critic,” a source revealed to Page Six.
The exhibit, a collaboration between New York-based pop artist Ashley Longshore and Live Nation Women, features 73 strikingly vibrant portraits of influential women. Among the featured icons were Nashville legends such as Dolly Parton, Minnie Pearl, and Taylor Swift, as well as global superstars like Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga.
Witherspoon’s enthusiasm for the exhibit didn’t stop at simple admiration—she was captivated by Longshore’s artistic process. “At one point, Witherspoon asked Ashley, ‘How in the hell do you do this?’ to which Ashley jokingly responded, ‘What? Like it’s hard?’” The exchange had Witherspoon in fits of laughter, further highlighting her appreciation for the artist’s wit and talent.
But Witherspoon wasn’t the only celebrity drawn to Longshore’s bold and empowering artwork. Alabama Shakes singer Brittany Howard also attended the event and quickly bonded with the artist over their shared Alabama roots. Howard, who hails from Athens, was delighted to learn that Longshore is originally from Montgomery. The musician even mentioned that she listens to Longshore’s art-inspiring playlist while working on her own creative projects.
Also making an appearance was Scout Willis, who was seen in conversation with local singer-songwriter Cody Belew about her current songwriting sessions in Nashville.
Witherspoon’s keen eye for detail and genuine admiration for the arts made her a standout guest at the event. Her presence at the exhibit not only highlighted her love for creativity but also reaffirmed her reputation as a dedicated supporter of artistic expression. It’s clear that Witherspoon’s appreciation for bold, powerful women extends beyond Hollywood and into the world of fine art.
