Islamabad – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced on Monday that the total number of registered voters in the country has surpassed the significant milestone of 130 million.

Since the general elections held on February 8, 2024, the total number of registered voters has seen a notable increase, rising from 128.59 million to 130.136 million. The latest data released by the ECP reveals that out of these registered voters, 70.043 million are males and 60.092 million are females, reflecting a gender-balanced electorate.

The capital city, Islamabad, accounts for a total of 1.094 million registered voters, with 0.52 million females and 0.574 million males exercising their voting rights. In Balochistan, there are 5.44 million registered voters, comprising 2.389 million females and 3.051 million males, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa boasts 22.183 million registered voters, with 12.074 million males and 10.109 million females participating in the electoral process.

The most populous province, Punjab, registers a staggering 74.093 million voters, with 39.563 million males and 34.530 million females, highlighting the significant role the province plays in national elections. Meanwhile, Sindh, with 27.326 million registered voters, showcases a relatively balanced distribution with 14.781 million males and 12.545 million females exercising their voting rights.
