Riyadh Rivals Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal Shine in King’s Cup

Riyadh rivals Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal secured their spots in the King’s Cup round of 16 on September 25, delivering an electrifying evening of sports action that kept fans at the edge of their seats.

Even with superstar Cristiano Ronaldo resting, Al-Nassr didn’t miss a beat, delivering a sensational 5-1 triumph over Ohod. Sadio Mane set the tempo with a precise penalty in the 15th minute, foreshadowing an impressive performance.

Ohod, however, showcased their fighting spirit with Konrad Michalak’s elegant equalizer just before halftime. But the second half was all about Al-Nassr, as Seko Fofana (62′), Talisca (75′), Ayman Yahya (81′), and Sami Al-Najei (86′) found the net, securing their passage to the next round.

In stark contrast, Al-Hilal faced a formidable challenge from Al-Jabalain, with only Reuben Neves managing to score in the 64th minute. It was a hard-fought battle against the determined first-division team, but Al-Hilal’s unwavering determination ultimately paid off.

In a separate encounter, Saudi Pro League side Al-Raed suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of first-division Al-Najmah, while Damac secured their ticket to the next stage with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Al-Qaisumah.
