Rizwan Appointed Vice-Captain for Pakistan Men’s T20I Team

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Mohammad Rizwan as the vice-captain of the Pakistan Men’s T20I team, adding an extra layer of leadership ahead of the highly anticipated five-match T20I series against New Zealand.

The series, scheduled to kick off on January 12th in New Zealand, promises cricket enthusiasts a thrilling display of talent and competitiveness.

At the age of 31, Mohammad Rizwan brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having participated in an impressive 85 T20Is. His contribution with the bat has been noteworthy, amassing a total of 2,797 runs, including a century and 25 half-centuries. Rizwan has also showcased his agility behind the stumps, recording 41 catches and 11 stumpings in his T20I career.

Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Rizwan stated, “It is an honor to be named as the vice-captain of Pakistan Men’s T20I side. I am thankful to the PCB for entrusting me with this responsibility. I am looking forward to working closely with the captain, coaching staff, and my teammates to contribute to the team’s success.”

The full squad for the series is brimming with talent, featuring Shaheen Shah Afridi as the captain, alongside the newly appointed vice-captain and wicket-keeper, Mohammad Rizwan.
