Rockstar Confirms GTA VI Pre-Orders as November Release Date Holds Firm

IT & Telecom

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will open on June 25, marking a major milestone in the lead-up to one of the most anticipated video game launches in history.

The announcement comes as Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive continue to reaffirm the game’s November 19, 2026 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

GTA VI Pre-Orders Begin June 25

Rockstar said players will be able to pre-order Grand Theft Auto VI through digital storefronts and select retailers beginning June 25.

The company also unveiled the game’s official cover artwork, featuring protagonists Jason and Lucia alongside several supporting characters from the state of Leonida, the game’s fictional setting inspired by Florida.

Despite confirming the pre-order date, Rockstar has not yet announced pricing details, special editions, or potential pre-order bonuses.

Industry speculation has suggested the game could carry a higher-than-usual price tag, but neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has officially commented on pricing. Earlier this year, Take-Two Chief Executive Strauss Zelnick stated that pricing announcements would come separately from earnings updates.

No Further Delays Expected

The confirmation of pre-orders is widely seen as a strong indication that Rockstar remains confident in its November launch target.

The game was previously delayed from May 2026 to November 19, 2026, with Rockstar saying additional development time was needed to deliver the level of quality expected by players.

Take-Two has repeatedly reaffirmed that release date in recent weeks while indicating that a broader marketing campaign would begin during the summer.

Fans Await Pricing and New Trailer

While the pre-order announcement answers one major question, several details remain unknown.

Rockstar has not revealed whether GTA VI will be offered in multiple editions, such as Deluxe or Collector’s Editions, nor has it announced any pre-order incentives.

The company has also yet to confirm when a third trailer or extended gameplay showcase will be released.

A PC version has not been announced, with the game currently scheduled only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

With pre-orders opening next week and marketing activity ramping up, attention is now turning to pricing, gameplay footage and additional details ahead of what is expected to be one of the biggest entertainment launches of 2026.
