Rupee remains unchanged in open market

KARACHI: The Pak Rupee is remained unchanged against dollar in open market on Saturday owing as hopes are high regarding investment from Saudi Arabia.
The buying and selling of dollar was recorded at Rs138.50/Rs139.00, which was the same previous day’s level in cash free market.
Currency experts said that local currency might gain against dollar during next week on expectation of huge foreign inflows as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is scheduled to visit Pakistan on February 16, 2019.
The market is expecting that the Saudi Prince likely to announce huge investment in Pakistan that may be around $18 billion.
A day earlier Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood said that Saudi Arabia was making huge investment to make an oil refinery in Gwadar.
