Russian cargo vessel arrives at Karachi Port

The Russian container vessel “Crystal St Petersburg” successfully made its maiden call at Karachi Port after a journey of 21 days, said a statement issued on Thursday May 25, 2023..

The vessel was berthed at the Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT), where it was welcomed by notable dignitaries, including Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Faisal Sabzwari, Chairman of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Syedain Raza Zaidi, and Consul General of Russia H.E. Andrey Viktorovich Fedorov.

The arrival of “Crystal St Petersburg” is being hailed as a significant milestone for the Pakistani government, as it opens up direct access for the Pakistani trade community to the Russian markets.
