Samsung is reportedly preparing to unveil its long-rumored Galaxy Glasses in July, alongside its next-generation foldable smartphones and smartwatch lineup, according to new reports from South Korea. The launch is expected to take place at Samsung’s major Unpacked event scheduled for July 22 in London.

The upcoming event is said to showcase several flagship devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, and the Galaxy Watch9 series. Industry insiders also suggest that Samsung may introduce a new form factor device, tentatively referred to as the Galaxy Fold Wide, potentially aimed at competing with upcoming high-end devices in the global market.

However, the highlight of the event is expected to be the debut of Samsung’s Galaxy Glasses, marking the company’s entry into the smart eyewear segment. The device is being developed in collaboration with luxury eyewear brand Gentle Monster, bringing a fashion-focused design approach to wearable technology.

The Galaxy Glasses will reportedly run on Android XR and will come with built-in Google Gemini AI integration. Unlike traditional smart glasses with displays, the Galaxy Glasses will not feature an onboard screen. Instead, they will rely on voice interaction and AI assistance as their core functionality.

The device is expected to include microphones, speakers, and a single camera, similar to first-generation smart glasses like Meta’s Ray-Ban models. However, Samsung aims to differentiate its product by offering deeper AI capabilities through Gemini, allowing users to perform more advanced tasks such as real-time assistance, contextual queries, and smart recommendations.

Samsung’s strategy appears to focus on integrating artificial intelligence across its ecosystem, positioning Galaxy Glasses as a key part of its future wearable lineup. The inclusion of multiple flagship devices at the same Unpacked event highlights the company’s aggressive push to strengthen its premium product portfolio ahead of major competitor launches later in the year.

If confirmed, the July 22 Unpacked event could become one of Samsung’s most significant product showcases, setting the stage for its next wave of AI-powered consumer technology.
