Samsung is set to unveil a new Galaxy S26 family member next week, with the Galaxy S26 FE expected to bring an Exynos 2500 upgrade and improved battery endurance.
Samsung has confirmed that it will introduce a new member of the Galaxy S26 family on August 27 during its “Galaxy Event August 2026”.
The event will be livestreamed through Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel, beginning at 12pm UTC. While Samsung has not officially revealed the name of the upcoming device, the announcement is widely expected to be for the Galaxy S26 FE.
Samsung has yet to share official specifications for the smartphone. However, several leaks have already revealed potential details about the upcoming Fan Edition model.
A leaked European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) listing reportedly gave the Galaxy S26 FE an A rating for energy efficiency and an A rating for drop resistance, while receiving a C rating for repairability.
The device’s battery is reportedly rated for 1,200 charge cycles and is claimed to provide up to 50 hours of endurance on a single charge. By comparison, the Galaxy S25 FE was reportedly rated for 2,000 charge cycles and offered 42 hours and 37 minutes of endurance.
The Galaxy S26 FE is also expected to carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
One of the biggest expected upgrades could be found under the hood. Leaks and Google Play Console information strongly suggest that Samsung could equip the Galaxy S26 FE with the Exynos 2500 chipset, potentially making it the most significant hardware change over the previous generation.
Other specifications and design details have also surfaced through previous leaks, including unofficial renders and a broader specification leak. However, Samsung has not confirmed these details ahead of the launch.
The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to expand Samsung’s latest flagship family with a more affordable Fan Edition option. More information about its display, cameras, memory configurations, pricing and availability should be revealed during next week’s event.
Samsung’s August 27 event will therefore provide the first official look at the Galaxy S26 FE and confirm which of the reported specifications will make it into the final device.
