Samsung is gearing up for another exciting summer launch with the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7.
According to a recent report by South Korean publication The JoongAng, the tech giant is planning to host a grand in-person event in New York at the beginning of July, aligning closely with previous leaks. Given that last year’s Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 debuted on July 10, it makes perfect sense for their successors to follow a similar timeline.
In addition to the Galaxy foldables, the report also hints at the possible debut of two other exciting devices — the Z Flip FE and Samsung’s much-rumored tri-fold foldable phone. If true, this could be one of Samsung’s most dynamic product unveilings in recent years.
According to leaked specifications, both the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor, offering enhanced performance. These devices are expected to come with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. Out of the box, they will run on Samsung’s One UI 8, delivering an upgraded user experience.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is reported to feature a 6.5-inch cover display and an expansive 8.2-inch main screen. It’s also said to be more compact, measuring just 4.5mm thick when unfolded and 9.5mm when folded. The Fold7 is expected to boast a major camera upgrade with a new 200MP main sensor and a 4,400mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is rumored to sport a larger 4-inch cover display alongside a 6.85-inch main screen. It will reportedly retain the 50MP main and 12MP ultrawide cameras from its predecessor, and include a slightly larger 4,174mAh battery with 25W charging.
With these upgrades, Samsung continues to push the boundaries of foldable smartphone technology, and July’s event promises to be a significant milestone in the evolution of the Galaxy series.
