Samsung Launches Game Portal, Enhancing Gaming Experience

Samsung Electronics has made an exciting announcement, revealing its plan to launch the Samsung Game Portal, an online store dedicated to gaming, on Samsung.com.

The launch will take place in over 30 countries worldwide, starting with the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Brazil at the end of June.

The Game Portal is a comprehensive online store designed to cater to gamers, offering enhanced convenience for browsing and purchasing a wide range of gaming products. Gamers can find smartphones, TVs, gaming monitors, and high-performance SSDs all in one place. Additionally, the portal will provide gamers with a variety of tailored gaming content, perfectly aligned with their preferences and experiences.

Accenture, a leading global professional services company, conducted a revealing study on gaming in 2021. The study discovered that half of the gaming population are cross-platform gamers who utilize multiple devices for gaming. On average, these gamers spend 16 hours per week playing games, 8 hours per week watching gaming-related videos, and 6 hours per week engaging with gaming communities.

In response to these evolving trends, Samsung has developed the Game Portal to offer an extensive range of content. Users can access gaming product information, domestic and international expert reviews, enticing product offers and benefits, useful tips to enhance gameplay, and the latest gaming news.

Evelyn Kim, Executive Vice President of the D2C Center at Samsung Electronics, stated, “Gaming has become an integral part of consumers’ lifestyles, transcending mere entertainment, particularly for Millennials and Gen Z. We are committed to delivering superior gaming experiences to our customers, from the moment of purchase to utilization, by providing an enjoyable and seamless environment for acquiring gaming-related products.”

Among the notable products available on the portal, customers can expect to find the Galaxy S23 Ultra, a smartphone optimized for mobile gaming, featuring the high-performance Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy and a powerful 5000mAh battery. Additionally, the Neo QLED TV allows users to enjoy cloud gaming without the need for a separate console through the Samsung Gaming Hub. For an immersive gaming experience, the Odyssey OLED G9 monitor boasts a remarkable 49-inch curved OLED screen. Furthermore, the 990 PRO SSD offers lightning-fast sequential read and write speeds of up to 7,450 and 6,900MB/s, respectively, ensuring faster loading times for PlayStation and DirectStorage PC games.

To celebrate the launch of the Game Portal, Samsung is providing discounts on bundles of gaming devices, along with various regional purchasing incentives centered around the recently released Odyssey gaming monitor and Neo QLED 8K products.

As an industry that continues to experience significant growth, the gaming sector holds great promise. Samsung recognizes this trend and has been actively engaged in strengthening its position in the gaming industry through product and service enhancements. The introduction of the Samsung Game Portal marks a significant milestone toward further expansion and success.
