SAP, the German multinational software corporation, has recently partnered with Imtiaz Supermarket, Pakistan’s largest retail chain, to provide a one-stop solution for the retail giant’s operations.
Imtiaz Supermarket, which has 26 branches across Pakistan and over 850,000 customers, has invested in SAP’s solutions to cover not only the basic modules of finance, costing, materials management, and sales, but also a specialized module for retail management, as well as integration with point of sale (POS) and multi-channel strategy.
Furthermore, Imtiaz has also invested in SAP’s Human Capital Management, which is expected to cover the complete HR lifecycle of Hire-to-Retire and strategic areas under SuccessFactors such as Performance & Goals, Recruitment, Compensation, and employee self-services.
The partnership aims to provide cost efficiencies, standardization of services, and error-free services, allowing the 26 stores to have an integrated inventory, payroll, and automatic alerts for shelving and quality checks. With the implementation of SAP’s solutions, Imtiaz Supermarket can provide customized solutions to meet the requirements of a large retail giant in Pakistan, which has resulted in increased ease of operations and transparency.
Asher Zahid, CIO of Imtiaz Supermarket, expressed his appreciation for SAP’s one-stop solution, saying that “SAP’s one-stop solution has enabled us to take advantage of cost efficiencies, and standardization of service with error-free services, allowing the 26 stores to have an integrated inventory, payroll, and automatic alerts for shelving and quality checks.” SAP Retail, Core, and SAP CAR went live in December 2021, while the SAP SuccessFactors implementation is still underway.
