Umrah visa issuance to begin from May 31, 2026, ministry says
Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on Sunday announced the calendar for the Umrah 1448 AH season, outlining key dates for visa issuance, pilgrims’ arrivals and permit services as part of efforts to improve operational efficiency and services for worshippers.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the issuance of Umrah visas and the arrival of pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will begin on May 31, 2026.
The ministry said Umrah pilgrims would be able to enter Makkah and obtain permits through the Nusuk application starting June 1, 2026.
Key Umrah 1448 AH deadlines announced
The ministry said March 9, 2027, would be the final date for issuing Umrah visas, while March 23, 2027, has been set as the deadline for Umrah pilgrims to enter the Kingdom.
Authorities also designated April 7, 2027, as the final departure date for Umrah performers leaving Saudi Arabia.
The ministry urged Umrah companies and overseas travel agents to strictly follow the approved schedule and comply with all regulations and operational guidelines to ensure smooth services for pilgrims throughout the season.
Saudi authorities have increasingly expanded digital services for pilgrims in recent years, including electronic permits and online booking systems aimed at improving crowd management and enhancing the pilgrimage experience.
