Riyadh Air and Flyadeal are set to add direct routes, giving Pakistani travellers easier access to Saudi Arabia’s growing tourism destinations.
Saudi Arabia is strengthening its tourism and travel ties with Pakistan by expanding air connectivity and promoting its diverse destinations, cultural heritage and modern attractions among Pakistani travellers.
Pakistan remains one of Saudi Arabia’s priority tourism markets in the Asia-Pacific region, reflecting strong travel links between the two countries and growing interest in Saudi Arabia as a holiday and leisure destination.
The Kingdom is increasingly presenting a broader tourism portfolio beyond traditional travel. Historic destinations such as AlUla and Diriyah offer visitors opportunities to explore Saudi Arabia’s heritage, while Riyadh and Jeddah provide modern urban experiences, shopping, entertainment and cultural attractions.
New developments are also adding to Saudi Arabia’s appeal. Qiddiya, located near Riyadh, is emerging as a major hub for entertainment, sports and culture.
The Red Sea region is similarly expanding the Kingdom’s luxury tourism offering through coastal landscapes, high-end hospitality and experience-focused destinations.
The Saudi Tourism Authority is also bringing its tourism campaign closer to Pakistani audiences. It is engaging travellers, media representatives and tourism partners through promotional activities, including Flavors of Saudi in Karachi on August 10 and the Saudi Unlocked roadshow in Lahore on August 13.
Air connectivity is set to improve further in the coming weeks. Riyadh Air will commence operations in Pakistan this month, with direct flights between Islamabad and Riyadh scheduled to begin on August 14, followed by flights connecting Lahore with Riyadh from August 18.
Additional options are expected in September, when Flyadeal plans to launch its first direct service between Karachi and Madinah on September 6. The new route is expected to provide greater convenience for Pakistani travellers heading to Saudi Arabia.
With improved connectivity and an expanding tourism ecosystem, Saudi Arabia is seeking to attract more Pakistani visitors. The Kingdom’s combination of heritage, entertainment, coastal destinations, hospitality and modern attractions is creating more travel choices for Pakistani tourists.
