Saudi business delegation explores Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure investment opportunities

Saudi investors discuss G2G and B2B opportunities in Pakistan’s power, petroleum, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

ISLAMABAD: A high-level Saudi business delegation led by Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council, visited the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to explore investment and business opportunities across key sectors of Pakistan’s economy.

The visit provided a platform to strengthen economic and commercial ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and advance potential investment initiatives of mutual interest.

The SIFC coordinated meetings between the Saudi delegation and senior government officials and relevant stakeholders from several key sectors, including power, petroleum, privatisation, industries, communications and highways.

The delegation also held discussions with leading representatives of Pakistan’s private sector as part of efforts to identify commercially viable investment opportunities.

G2G and B2B investment opportunities discussed

The meetings covered both government-to-government (G2G) and business-to-business (B2B) investment frameworks, with particular attention given to priority sectors offering opportunities for Saudi investment and long-term cooperation.

The discussions focused on identifying areas where Saudi investors and Pakistani businesses could develop mutually beneficial projects and establish stronger commercial partnerships.

The engagement comes as Pakistan continues efforts to attract foreign investment and deepen economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia.

Saudi investors have shown growing interest in Pakistan’s investment potential across energy, infrastructure, industry and other strategic sectors.

Pakistan seeks to convert investment interest into projects

The latest engagement highlights Islamabad’s efforts to translate bilateral economic ties with Saudi Arabia into concrete investment projects.

The discussions between Saudi investors, government institutions and Pakistani businesses are expected to help identify projects with potential for long-term commercial cooperation.

The SIFC has been playing a central role in facilitating foreign investment by bringing investors together with relevant government departments and local businesses.

The council said it would continue facilitating engagement between Saudi investors, government institutions and private-sector stakeholders to translate the strong bilateral relationship into tangible, sustainable and mutually beneficial investment outcomes.

The visit further underscores the growing focus on expanding Pakistan-Saudi economic cooperation beyond traditional bilateral ties and towards investment-led partnerships in strategic sectors.
