The Pakistani automaker says its Philippine distributor has established the facility with technical support from Sazgar, while clarifying that it has made no equity investment.
Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has confirmed that its Philippine distributor has established a manufacturing and assembly plant for the company’s three-wheelers, with technical assistance from the Pakistani manufacturer.
In a communication to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Sazgar clarified reports circulating on social media regarding its involvement in a manufacturing project in the Philippines.

The company said the facility was established by its distributor with Sazgar’s support and technical expertise to manufacture and assemble its three-wheelers for the international market.
Sazgar expects the arrangement to increase its three-wheeler export volumes and strengthen its presence in overseas markets.
The company further clarified that it would export completely knocked-down (CKD) kits to the Philippines for local assembly. These exports are expected to contribute towards Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings.
Importantly, Sazgar stressed that it has not made any equity investment in the Philippine manufacturing and assembly facility.
The company also stated that any future decision involving an equity investment in the Philippines or another overseas manufacturing project would be formally disclosed to the PSX and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
The development represents an expansion of Sazgar’s international business operations through a distributor-led manufacturing arrangement, without direct equity participation in the overseas facility.
