SBP Announces Bank Timings for Ramadan 2025

Karachi, March 1, 2025 – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially issued a notification regarding bank timings for the holy month of Ramadan 2025.

In a circular addressed to the presidents and chief executives of all banks, development financial institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs), the SBP outlined the adjusted schedule to be followed throughout Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1446 A.H.

Office and Business Hours During Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1446 A.H.

As per the SBP’s directive, the following bank timings will be observed at the SBP and all banking institutions, including DFIs and MFBs, during Ramadan:

In addition to these official hours, the SBP has also specified the adjusted bank timings for public dealings during Ramadan. Banks and MFBs will adhere to the following schedule when providing services to customers:

The revised bank timings have been introduced to facilitate both financial institutions and the general public during the sacred month of Ramadan. These adjusted hours ensure that banking services remain accessible while accommodating the unique requirements of fasting individuals.

The SBP has clarified that after the conclusion of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, all banks, DFIs, and MFBs will automatically revert to their pre-Ramadan bank timings. Financial institutions are expected to strictly comply with these revised schedules and ensure that all public banking operations run smoothly during the holy month.

This initiative by the SBP is part of its commitment to maintaining efficiency and convenience in the banking sector while respecting the religious obligations observed by millions across Pakistan. Customers are advised to plan their banking transactions accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during the adjusted hours.
