Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are offering fans a unique glimpse into their love story by sharing a special moment from their very first date.
The newly engaged couple has partnered with Jitlada, a popular Thai restaurant in Los Angeles, to let fans experience the meal that marked the beginning of their romance—fried shrimp with curry.
Selena Gomez took to X to announce the collaboration, tying it to the highly anticipated release of her new album, I Said I Love You First.
“My very first date with @itsbennyblanco was at @jitladaLA on Sunset Blvd [heart emoji],” Selena Gomez, 32, wrote. “To celebrate our upcoming album, I Said I Love You First, we only thought it was right for you to experience it too!”
The special dish, aptly named “First Date Shrimp,” will be available at Jitlada for a limited time, running through March 23. Fans of Selena Gomez and Blanco can now savor the same flavors that played a part in their love story.
Beyond this unique collaboration, Selena Gomez is also marking her album’s release in other creative ways. She recently launched the “12 Days of Really Rare Stuff,” a giveaway featuring sentimental keepsakes from different moments in her life and career.
One of the first items in the giveaway was a diamond “B” ring, which Selena Gomez originally used to confirm her relationship with Blanco in 2023. The ring, listed for just $12, was a symbolic gesture for fans. She followed it up with another cherished item—a signed Coach Selena Grace Bag, further adding to the excitement surrounding her album’s launch.
Selena Gomez and Blanco’s album, I Said I Love You First, is set to drop on March 21. The album includes their latest single, Sunset Blvd., inspired by the location of their first date, as well as previously released tracks like Scared of Loving You and Call Me When You Break Up.
With her album release approaching, Selena Gomez continues to find heartfelt ways to connect with her fans, ensuring that they feel a part of her journey both in music and in love.
