The longtime friends revisit their teenage memories in a Rare Beauty campaign celebrating 25 years of friendship and their special bond.
Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have taken a nostalgic trip down memory lane, recalling how they once crashed a high school prom because they never had one of their own.
The longtime celebrity friends shared the amusing story in a video posted on Rare Beauty’s official YouTube channel as part of a campaign celebrating their 25-year friendship.
While looking at a throwback photograph from the 2009 premiere of their Disney film Princess Protection Program, Demi reminded Selena of their unexpected adventure.
“Do you remember we crashed a prom after that night?” Demi asked, prompting Selena to respond, “Yes, I totally forgot that.”
Demi explained that they had spotted a prom taking place nearby and decided to join the celebrations.
“We didn’t get a prom,” the Camp Rock star recalled.
Selena added that they had wanted to experience the occasion themselves, so they simply joined someone else’s celebration. Demi jokingly suggested that their unexpected appearance had probably made the evening memorable for those attending.
The actresses starred together in Princess Protection Program, with Selena playing Carter Mason and Demi portraying Princess Rosalinda. Both were 16 at the time.
Their reunion forms part of Rare Beauty’s campaign, titled Still Making Each Other Blush, which introduces the Delena Soft Pinch Blush Bundle.
The collaboration celebrates their enduring friendship and shared memories from their Disney years.
