Selena Gomez reveals emotional moment with Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez has recently opened up about an emotional and awkward moment in her relationship with music producer Benny Blanco. In a candid chat on the latest episode of Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware, the singer and actress shared intimate details about her love life and her personal struggles after parting ways with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Selena Gomez, known for her hit show Only Murders in the Building, revealed that she felt “alone” for nearly five years after her on-again, off-again relationship with Justin officially ended in 2018. While Bieber moved on and married Hailey Bieber, Selena admitted that she couldn’t connect with anyone romantically during that time.

However, things changed when she met Benny Blanco. Gomez said that after years of emotional distance, she finally found someone she truly liked — and it all began with a quirky game on their first date.

Benny shared the story of their first kiss, explaining they were playing a game called We’re Not Really Strangers while sitting together on a couch. One of the cards in the game asked them to take a selfie together. Selena leaned onto his chest to snap the photo, and that’s when Benny decided to kiss her.

“I kissed her right then,” Benny said, adding that Selena’s heart started racing and her face turned red. “She even got a rash — she was so nervous,” he recalled. When asked if she was allergic, he joked, “Yeah, to me! I was so gross and repulsive.”

But Gomez quickly clarified that it wasn’t an allergy. “I just hadn’t liked anyone in a long time,” she said. “Some kisses are just for fun, but when there’s emotion behind it, it hits differently.”

Reflecting further, Selena Gomez admitted, “I’d been alone for about five years. I went on a few silly dates, but nothing ever felt real.” She also added that the moment was a little embarrassing but meaningful.

With her relationship with Benny Blanco now in the spotlight, Selena seems to have found comfort, connection, and maybe even love after a long period of loneliness.
