The recent Asia Cup battles pitting India, Nepal, and Pakistan against each other have set the stage for some thrilling developments in the ICC ODI rankings. Amid the spotlight on standout players, the rankings landscape has experienced a notable shift.

Pakistan’s formidable trio of fast bowlers, featuring Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah, have left their mark on the cricketing world.

Leading the charge for Pakistan’s bowling attack, Shaheen Shah Afridi has made a remarkable leap of four places to secure the fifth position in the overall ODI rankings.

Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah have not lagged behind, achieving new career-high ratings and announcing their ascent in the cricketing hierarchy.

Haris Rauf, who has climbed a staggering 14 spots, now shares the 29th position in the rankings. Meanwhile, Naseem Shah has surged ahead by 13 places, firmly establishing himself at the 68th spot.

Gill’s unbeaten 67* in a crucial match against Nepal has propelled him to an impressive career-best rating of 750 points, securing the third position in the ODI batter rankings.

Ishan Kishan, with his outstanding 82-run innings against Pakistan, has notched a new career-best mark of 624 rating points and has climbed an impressive 12 places to claim the 24th spot in the updated list of ODI batters.

Nevertheless, Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, continues to exert his dominance over the ODI batter rankings with a commanding total of 882 rating points.

His exceptional performances, including a magnificent 151-run innings against Nepal, underscore his destructive batting prowess.

In the broader scope of the ODI rankings, South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen narrowly retains the second spot with 777 points, while Sri Lanka’s Charith Asalanka has made significant strides, climbing eight spots to reach the 29th position. These rankings shifts have added excitement and intrigue to the ongoing cricketing landscape.
