Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has once again proved his dominance at the box office with Sikandar, marking his 17th consecutive film to cross the ₹100 crore milestone.
The action-packed thriller, which released over the Eid weekend, grossed an impressive ₹105.89 crore worldwide within just two days of hitting cinemas, according to Indian media reports.
This achievement continues Salman Khan’s record-breaking streak that began with Dabangg in 2010, further solidifying his status as one of Bollywood’s most bankable and influential stars. Khan’s ability to consistently draw huge audiences with his films is unmatched, and Sikandar is yet another testament to his immense popularity and star power.
Releasing during Eid, a time traditionally reserved for Salman Khan’s films, Sikandar quickly became a box office sensation. The actor’s Eid releases have become a staple for moviegoers, with millions flocking to theaters to see his latest work. With the film continuing to perform strongly at the box office, industry analysts predict that Sikandar will set new records and continue to attract large audiences in the coming days.
However, despite the strong opening, Sikandar did see a slight dip in earnings on its third day. The action-thriller, which stars Salman Khan alongside Rashmika Mandanna, grossed ₹19.20 crore on Tuesday, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹74.5 crore. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar had generated tremendous anticipation before its release on March 30. Although the film received mixed reviews from audiences, it saw a modest increase in earnings following the Eid festivities.
Despite this minor slowdown, the film’s strong initial performance has helped it maintain its place as one of the top-grossing films of the year. Salman Khan’s unwavering box office appeal, coupled with his commitment to entertaining fans, ensures that Sikandar will continue to be a major player in the coming weeks. As the film progresses through its run, it’s expected to break even more records, cementing Salman Khan’s place as a Bollywood legend.
