Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has closed the gap on Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai at the top of the ICC Men’s ODI All-Rounder Rankings following a strong series against Australia.
Raza has moved up to second place with 276 rating points after finishing the three-match ODI series as the leading run-scorer. He also made a valuable contribution with the ball, taking three wickets during the series.
The veteran all-rounder scored 45 runs in the second ODI before producing an unbeaten 81 in the series finale. His consistent performances with the bat also saw him climb five places to 24th in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings.
Raza completed his all-round contribution in the deciding ODI by taking two wickets, although Australia held their nerve to claim a dramatic one-run victory.
Nathan Ellis and Josh Inglis Make Rankings Gains
Australia’s Nathan Ellis, who finished the series as the leading wicket-taker, climbed three places to 17th in the ICC Men’s ODI Bowling Rankings.
The right-arm fast bowler claimed four wickets across the final two matches after registering his maiden ODI five-wicket haul earlier in the series.
Australia batter Josh Inglis also made significant progress in the ODI batting standings. He surged 11 places to 30th after smashing a superb century in the third ODI, his second hundred in the format.
Shreyas Iyer Makes T20I Rankings Surge
India captain Shreyas Iyer also made notable gains, climbing seven places to 22nd in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings.
His rise followed India’s series sweep against Afghanistan and his Player of the Match-winning performance in a closely contested one-off encounter against Japan.
The white-ball contests between England and Sri Lanka also produced substantial movement across the ICC rankings.
