Powering the Thunder SS150-H is a 150cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine equipped with Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) technology and a wet sump lubrication system. The engine delivers a maximum output of 4.2 kW at 8,500 rpm and produces 5.8 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
The motorcycle is available with both self-start and kick-start systems, while ignition duties are handled through a Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) setup. Power is transmitted through a four-speed constant mesh transmission paired with a multi-disc wet clutch.
Design and Key Specifications
The Super Star Thunder SS150-H is built on a backbone-type chassis featuring an iron pipe swing arm for improved structural strength. It rides on alloy wheels and measures 1,897mm in length, 751mm in width, and 1,014mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,200mm for enhanced stability.
The motorcycle is equipped with a 13-liter fuel tank, including a 1-liter reserve, allowing for longer rides between fuel stops. It also features 2.25-18 front tyres, contributing to its balanced handling and comfortable riding characteristics.
