KARACHI, April 15, 2026 — Pakistan-based technology firm Supernet Limited (SupernetGlobal) has launched its first satellite-based connectivity solution in Africa, marking a significant step in its international expansion strategy, the company said in a filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The deployment, carried out in Tanzania, delivers high-capacity internet connectivity using satellite infrastructure, enabling reliable digital access in areas where traditional network coverage remains limited. The move extends SupernetGlobal’s operational footprint beyond its existing presence in the United Arab Emirates.
The company said the project represents its first satellite-based service rollout on the African continent and reflects ongoing efforts to tap into underserved markets with growing demand for digital infrastructure.
Africa continues to face significant connectivity challenges, particularly in remote and rural regions where terrestrial networks are either unavailable or unreliable. Industry experts say satellite-based solutions provide a scalable and rapid alternative, supporting sectors such as telecommunications, banking, healthcare, and education.
SupernetGlobal said its expertise in satellite communications and mission-critical connectivity solutions positions it to address these gaps effectively. The company added that the deployment aligns with its broader strategy to expand into markets where its capabilities can deliver meaningful impact.
“This deployment reflects our commitment to extending reliable digital infrastructure to regions where traditional connectivity remains a challenge,” the company said in a statement.
In addition to satellite connectivity, SupernetGlobal offers a range of services including ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital solutions. It plans to gradually introduce these offerings across international markets as part of its long-term growth strategy.
The company views the Tanzania deployment as a gateway to broader expansion across Africa, where demand for digital transformation and connectivity solutions is expected to rise steadily in the coming years.
