Sydney Sweeney and her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, are facing challenges in their relationship, but they have not officially ended things.
Despite ongoing issues, the couple has decided to put their wedding plans on hold rather than call it off completely.
According to an exclusive source, the pair is experiencing “major issues.” While they are working on their relationship, they have chosen to delay their nuptials for the time being.
“Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now,” an insider told Us Weekly.
Sweeney, 27, and Davino, 41, first sparked dating rumors in 2018 before getting engaged four years later. However, wedding preparations have now come to a standstill.
“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” the source revealed. “Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”
One of the primary reasons for their difficulties is Sweeney’s packed schedule. The actress’ rising career has reportedly put a strain on their relationship.
“A lot of their issues stem from Sydney being extremely busy with work commitments,” the insider explained. “She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension. Sydney is really focused on her career, while Jonathan wishes they could spend more quality time together.”
Promotional events for Sweeney’s projects have added further pressure.
“Things are always tense between them when she is promoting a movie because she has to give her full attention to the project. People also speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her co-stars,” the source added. “It’s a tough dynamic for Jonathan.”
For now, their wedding is on pause. Whether they will reconcile and move forward with their plans remains uncertain.
