Karachi, September 5, 2023 – Pakistan’s Active Taxpayers List (ATL) has reached an all-time high, with approximately 4.54 million individuals and businesses now on the list, according to official documents released by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Pakistan’s apex tax agency.

Islamabad, August 21, 2023 – In a significant milestone for Pakistan’s revenue collection efforts, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that the number of active taxpayers in the country has reached a record high of 4.43 million.

Pakistan’s Active Taxpayers List (ATL) has seen a significant increase, reaching 4.32 million, owing to measures that compelled non-compliant individuals and businesses to join the documentation system.

Pakistan witnessed significant increase in Active Taxpayers with over 40,000 income tax returns filed in a single week, to high high of 4.26 million.
