Dwayne Johnson opened up about asking Taylor Swift for a favor, something he’s never done before in his career.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Moana 2 star revealed he had to use his influence to secure concert tickets for a friend. “Taylor Swift… She’s the only one. This has never happened in my career,” said the 52-year-old actor.
Johnson explained, “Usually, I don’t have to pull strings … I just make it happen. But this time, it was for a good friend of mine who begged, ‘Please. Taylor. Last concert.’”
Admitting he’s uncomfortable asking for favors, the Red One actor added, “I’m not great at asking for things. I’m better at giving. I hate asking, and I usually don’t do it.”
However, Johnson said he made an exception in this case. “I made a little call, and Taylor Swift made it happen. We got the tickets, and my friend was happy,” he shared. “I even got a picture of the happy ladies who were there. I really appreciate that about Taylor.”
The actor praised Swift not only for her talent but also for her generosity and humility. “Taylor’s kindness speaks volumes. It’s not just her music that makes her special, but the way she connects with people,” he remarked.
Elsewhere in the interview, Johnson revealed Taylor Swift is a favorite in his household, along with Beyoncé. “We love Taylor, and we love Beyoncé,” said the Black Adam star, referring to his two daughters with wife Lauren.
Speaking about his youngest daughter, Johnson added, “Tia, our littlest one, I call her Tiyoncé. She’s like, ‘Yeah!’ She totally owns it.” Johnson further shared how music brings his family together, especially during moments of relaxation at home. “It’s amazing how music can brighten their day and create such joyful memories,” he said.
