Taylor Swift marks her latest UK chart triumph as “Patient Zero” and The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore reach No. 1.

Taylor Swift marked another major UK chart milestone with a distinctly British fashion choice, stepping out in a Burberry polo shirt worth around £700 as both her latest single and album topped the charts.

Swift wore the long-sleeve Burberry top, featuring the brand’s signature contrast plaid detailing, during an appearance in London on October 2. Her outing came as “Patient Zero” and The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore claimed the top spots on the UK charts.

“Patient Zero” debuted at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart, giving Swift her eighth UK chart-topper and her third No. 1 single of 2026. It follows “Opalite” and “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack.

The achievement marks the first calendar year in which Swift has secured three separate UK No. 1 singles.

Meanwhile, The Life of a Showgirl returned to the top of the Official Albums Chart exactly one year after its original release on October 3, 2025. The album has now spent five non-consecutive weeks at No. 1.

Swift’s simultaneous No. 1 single and album success gives her another Official Chart Double, marking the fifth time she has achieved the feat with different album-and-single combinations. She has now recorded the double in every calendar year since 2022.

Her chart success has continued throughout the Showgirl era. During the album’s original opening week, Swift occupied the top three positions on the UK Singles Chart with “The Fate of Ophelia”, “Opalite” and “Elizabeth Taylor”.

Released on September 25, The Encore expanded the original album with four additional tracks created during Swift’s spontaneous trip to Sweden with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback.
