At the IFA 2024 event in Berlin, Tecno unveiled its latest AI-powered feature suite, aptly named “AI Vision.” Unlike what the name might suggest, AI Vision isn’t about futuristic eyewear or smart lenses.
Instead, it’s a suite of intelligent tools designed to enhance productivity, creativity, and user experience across Tecno’s devices.
At the heart of Tecno’s AI Vision is the revamped Ella AI Assistant. This AI assistant is now integrated with “Gemini,” although what exactly Gemini offers remains unclear.
Ella brings enhanced conversational capabilities, featuring a “smart Q&A” function that allows users to engage in natural conversations with their devices.
One of the standout features of AI Vision is real-time translation. This functionality can convert speech into text during phone calls or face-to-face interactions, bridging language gaps with ease. Additionally, the AI Writing tool promises to be a powerful asset for content creators and professionals.
It can generate summaries, proofread documents, rewrite content in different styles, and even create new text from scratch.
Tecno’s AI Search feature allows users to effortlessly access information. By simply swiping a finger or circling an item on the screen, the system will pull up relevant information. This feature resembles “Circle to Search,” although Tecno has chosen not to brand it as such.
For creative users, AI Vision also includes AI Artboard, which enables the generation of art based on text prompts, producing a variety of styles.
Meanwhile, AI Erase, AI Portrait Beautification, and AI Cutout are designed for photo editing, allowing users to remove unwanted objects, enhance portraits, and cut out parts of images with ease.
Lastly, the AI Video Production tool assists in script writing and post-production, including the addition of subtitles, offering a comprehensive suite for video creators.
