Spotted testing vehicle registered under Master Changan Motors Limited fuels speculation about the imminent launch of the Changan Oshan X5 in Pakistan.

The Changan Oshan X5 testing unit has been spotted on Pakistani roads, sparking fresh speculation that Master Changan Motors Limited is preparing to introduce the compact SUV in the local market.

Images circulating on social media show a test vehicle carrying registration details that reportedly confirm it is owned by Master Changan Motors Limited, suggesting the company has officially begun road testing ahead of a possible launch.

Although Changan Pakistan has yet to make any formal announcement regarding the Oshan X5, the appearance of the registered testing unit has strengthened expectations that the vehicle could soon become part of the brand’s growing SUV lineup.

Automakers typically conduct extensive road testing before unveiling new models, making the latest spotting a significant development for local SUV enthusiasts.

If introduced, the Changan Oshan X5 will become the second SUV in the company’s Pakistani portfolio after the successful Oshan X7.

Internationally marketed as the Changan X5 Plus, the compact crossover is positioned below the larger Oshan X7 and is designed to appeal to customers seeking sporty styling, premium features, and impressive performance at a competitive price.

Powering the Oshan X5 is Changan’s Blue Whale NE 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. Depending on the variant, the engine produces between 180 hp and 188 hp, while generating up to 300 Nm of peak torque.

The powertrain is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.5 seconds.

In terms of size, the SUV measures 4,540 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm. These dimensions provide a spacious interior while ensuring comfortable handling for both urban driving and long-distance travel.

The Changan Oshan X5 also stands out with its bold exterior styling. It features a large signature front grille, sleek LED headlights, sporty side skirts, stylish alloy wheels, and dual chrome exhaust outlets, giving the crossover a modern and aggressive appearance aimed at younger buyers.

Inside the cabin, the SUV offers a premium driving experience with carbon-fiber-inspired trim, a dual-tone maroon and black interior, and a panoramic sunroof. Technology highlights include a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and advanced driving modes such as Rally Mode and Sports Plus, which enhance steering response and provide real-time performance data.

While Master Changan Motors has not officially confirmed the launch timeline, the appearance of the Changan Oshan X5 testing unit strongly indicates that preparations are progressing. If launched, the compact SUV is expected to strengthen Changan’s position in Pakistan’s increasingly competitive crossover segment.
