Tom Holland has confirmed that he and actress Zendaya are married, ending months of speculation surrounding the Hollywood couple’s relationship status.
The confirmation came during an interview with Esquire UK, published on Monday, in which the Spider-Man star briefly addressed ongoing rumours fuelled by public appearances, social media speculation and unverified reports about a secret wedding.
Long-running rumours finally addressed
Speculation about the couple intensified in early 2026 after Zendaya was seen wearing a large diamond ring at the Golden Globes, sparking engagement and marriage rumours.
Further fuel was added when stylist Law Roach made comments during a March interview suggesting that a wedding may have already taken place, saying, “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.”
The rumours were later amplified by fake AI-generated images circulating online, allegedly showing wedding scenes involving the couple.
Tom Holland confirms marriage
In the interview, Holland confirmed that he and Zendaya had already tied the knot, though he declined to share further details about the ceremony.
He joked that even his grandmother had been briefly misled by viral AI images, believing she had missed the wedding. However, he clarified that close family members were present.
“No, because they were all there,” he said when asked whether others were confused by the rumours.
Relationship built on support and stability
Holland also spoke about his relationship with Zendaya, describing it as a stabilising force in his life amid the pressures of fame.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he said.
He added that their shared experiences in the entertainment industry allowed them to support each other in a unique way.
“We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life,” Holland said.
He continued, “So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her.”
From co-stars to life partners
Holland and Zendaya first met while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016.
The pair publicly confirmed their relationship in 2021 after being photographed together, and later became one of Hollywood’s most high-profile couples.
Zendaya, who also starred in Dune, reportedly became engaged to Holland in late 2025 after she was seen wearing a diamond ring at the Golden Globes.
While the couple has now confirmed their marriage, they have chosen to keep details of the ceremony private, continuing their preference for discretion despite intense public interest.
