KARACHI: Goods Transport Association has rejected the increase in petroleum products and said that it will increase the fares by 10 percent.
In a statement on Monday, the association rejected the increase of POL products for the month of April 2019.
The statement said that the decision of the government to increase the prices would make it transport business to continue.
The association demanded the government of withdraw the increase in petroleum products immediately otherwise the transportation of goods would stop.
It said that with the increase in prices of petrol and high speed diesel the fares would increase by at least by 10 percent.
The goods transport association invited the stakeholders to evolve future strategy.
