Lahore, January 25, 2025 – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the schedule for the much-anticipated tri-nation ODI series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa.
The series will take place from February 8 to 14 and promises to deliver thrilling cricketing action.
According to the PCB, Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium will host the first two matches, while Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will stage the final league match and the grand finale. The series opener will see Pakistan facing New Zealand on February 8 in a day/night encounter, scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM local time.
The second match will feature New Zealand clashing with South Africa on February 10 in a day match, with the toss taking place at 9:00 AM. Following this, the action will move to Karachi, where Pakistan will lock horns with South Africa in a high-stakes day/night encounter at the National Bank Stadium on February 12, also starting at 2:00 PM local time. The tournament will culminate in a thrilling final on February 14, set to begin at 2:00 PM, marking an exciting conclusion to the series.
Preparations for the series are well underway. Pakistan and New Zealand will hold their first training sessions at the Gaddafi Stadium under lights on February 6. Meanwhile, South Africa will take to the field at the same venue on the morning of February 9 to acclimatize to local conditions.
The PCB has also announced significant upgrades to the Gaddafi Stadium to ensure a world-class experience for both players and spectators. The venue’s seating capacity has been enhanced, with modern chairs installed across the stands. Furthermore, the stadium now boasts 480 advanced LED lights designed to elevate broadcast quality, ensuring top-tier visibility for viewers around the globe.
Adding to the excitement, two massive digital replay screens have been installed at the Gaddafi Stadium. Measuring 80 feet x 30 feet and 22 feet x 35 feet, these screens will provide fans with detailed replays and live action from every angle, enhancing their overall viewing experience.
