United Motors to Launch JETOUR SUVs in Pakistan by 2025

United Motors is gearing up to introduce the JETOUR SUVs in Pakistan, marking a significant expansion of its product lineup. JETOUR, a brand under the umbrella of Chery Automobile, has garnered a reputation for manufacturing stylish and feature-rich SUVs and crossovers.

This move is part of United Motors’ strategy to diversify its offerings and tap into the growing SUV market in Pakistan.

The company plans to locally assemble two JETOUR models, the Dashing and the X70 Plus, using the completely knocked down (CKD) process. Both models are expected to be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine, delivering a blend of power and efficiency that suits the needs of Pakistani consumers.

The Dashing model will offer a seating capacity for five passengers, making it an ideal choice for families and individuals seeking comfort and style. On the other hand, the X70 Plus will feature a spacious three-row configuration, accommodating up to seven adults, catering to larger families and those who value extra space.

United Motors has set its sights on launching these SUVs in January 2025. This ambitious plan is a departure from the company’s previous ventures, which included budget hatchbacks like the Bravo and Alpha.

While these hatchbacks initially attracted attention, they encountered several challenges in the market. Issues such as low resale value, quality concerns, and limited availability of spare parts hindered their long-term success and customer satisfaction.

With the introduction of JETOUR SUVs, United Motors aims to address these challenges and reposition itself in the market. By focusing on SUVs, the company seeks to tap into the rising demand for vehicles that offer both style and functionality.

SUVs have gained popularity in Pakistan due to their versatility, road presence, and ability to handle various terrains, making them an attractive option for a wide range of consumers.

The JETOUR Dashing and X70 Plus are poised to compete in a highly competitive automotive market. United Motors is betting on the appeal of these feature-rich SUVs to capture a significant share of the market and establish a strong presence.

The company’s decision to assemble the vehicles locally could also contribute to more competitive pricing, making them more accessible to a broader audience.

United Motors’ strategic move to introduce JETOUR SUVs is not just about expanding its product portfolio but also about building a stronger brand identity and improving its market position.

By leveraging the strengths of JETOUR, United Motors hopes to overcome past challenges and emerge as a key player in Pakistan’s automotive industry, offering vehicles that align with the evolving preferences of consumers.
