Indus Motor Company (IMC) has updated the prices upward of Toyota Yaris trims after devaluation of Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against US Dollar and imposition of 25 per cent sales tax on some models.
The uncertain economic situation of the country and volatile exchange rate has increased cost of production of IMC, compelling the company to increase retail selling prices and pass on the burden to market.
The car is introduced in six variants including Toyota Yaris GLI MT 1.3, Toyota Yaris ATIV MT 1.3, Toyota Yaris GLI CVT 1.3, Toyota Yaris ATIV CVT 1.3, Toyota Yaris X MT 1.5 and Toyota Yaris ATIV X CVT 1.5. Below are the prices of these variants as on March 24, 2023.
The updated price of Toyota Yaris GLI 1.3L MT has increased to Rs4,499,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,316,000.
The updated price of Toyota Yaris GLI 1.3L CVT has increased to Rs4,789,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,588,000.
The updated price of Toyota Yaris ATIV 1.3L MT has increased to Rs4,759,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,558,000.
The updated price of Toyota Yaris ATIV 1.3L CVT has increased to Rs4,999,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,790,000.
The updated price of Toyota Yaris 1.5L ATIV X MT has increased to Rs5,429,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs4,911,000.
The updated price of Toyota Yaris 1.5L ATIV X CVT has increased to Rs5,769,000 as compared to previous price tag of Rs5,213,000.
Toyota Yaris was launched in Pakistan on March 15, 2020. The car is locally manufactured by Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC).
The Toyota Yaris is available in 10 different colors, including Attitude Black, Dark Blue, Dorado Gold, Grey Graphite, Orange, Phantom Brown, Red Mica, Silver Metallic, Strong Blue, and Super White.
Toyota Yaris is offered with two engine options – 1.3-liter gasoline engine and a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. The Toyota Yaris comes equipped with in-line four-cylinder engines across all variants, with a valve train of 16 valve DOHC and dual VVT-i technology.
The manual variants of the Yaris come with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the automatic variants feature a 7-speed CVT and a sport sequential shiftmatic system. This allows for smooth gear shifts and enhanced driving performance.
Toyota Yaris offers mileage in the city of 14.9 km/l with 1.5-liter engine and 16 km/L with 1.3-liter engine. The 1.5-liter 2NR engine paired with a manual transmission can reach speeds up to 190 km/h and accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 10.2 seconds.
The Toyota Yaris features stylish headlights with LED DRLs and fog lamps, which not only enhance its appearance but also provide better visibility in low-light conditions. The car is available in two modes, namely Sport mode and Eco mode. Sport mode allows for quicker acceleration by increasing engine speed, while Eco mode maximizes fuel efficiency for more economical driving.

Hill Start Control is another feature that limits unnecessary upshifting while driving uphill and generates appropriate engine brake force for driving downhill. These features ensure a safer and more comfortable driving experience for the driver and passengers.
