Islamabad, January 25, 2025 – A significant drop in temperatures is anticipated as very cold weather is forecasted for several regions of Punjab on Sunday, January 26, 2025, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Mehr Fatima, Forecasting Officer at the PMD, stated that most districts in Punjab are expected to experience cold and dry conditions on Sunday. Regions such as Murree, Galliyat, and their surroundings are likely to witness very cold weather, especially during the morning and nighttime hours. Frost formation is also predicted at isolated locations within the Potohar region during early morning hours. Furthermore, shallow fog patches are expected to affect areas around Sialkot, Narowal, and adjacent regions during the morning.
Saturday Night Outlook The forecast for Saturday night indicates cold and dry weather persisting across most districts of Punjab. Murree, Galliyat, and surrounding areas will continue to experience very cold weather during the night. Similar to Sunday, shallow fog patches are likely to develop in the Sialkot and Narowal regions.
National Weather Overview On a national scale, the PMD reported that continental air is dominating most parts of the country, contributing to dry and cold conditions.
