Czech star says her Wimbledon triumph will not change her match-by-match approach at the US Open.

Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova is heading into the US Open with a renewed mental approach, insisting that her historic Grand Slam triumph will not alter the way she prepares for matches.

The 21-year-old Czech, seeded sixth at the US Open, said she treats every tournament as a fresh opportunity. Despite winning her maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, Noskova believes past success or disappointment should not influence her mindset going into a new competition.

Noskova has emphasized the importance of approaching every match independently and maintaining her concentration regardless of what happened in previous tournaments. Her philosophy has remained unchanged even after achieving the biggest title of her young career.

The Czech star secured the Wimbledon crown after an extraordinary final against compatriot Karolina Muchova. Noskova had to overcome the disappointment of failing to convert five match points before eventually completing the victory and becoming the third Czech woman in the past four years to win the prestigious grasscourt Grand Slam.

Although the Wimbledon triumph has not changed her approach, Noskova acknowledged that she is still adjusting to the experience of being a Grand Slam champion. The achievement, however, has strengthened her belief that she can compete successfully for major titles.

Her victory also brought several memorable experiences away from the court. Noskova was invited to meet Czech President Petr Pavel, an occasion she described as particularly significant.

She also received an emotional welcome in her hometown, where around 3,000 people gathered to celebrate her Wimbledon success. The reception gave her another reminder of the impact of her breakthrough victory.

Noskova now turns her attention to the hard courts of New York, where she faces American Katie Volynets in the opening round. She is placed in the top half of the draw alongside defending champion Aryna Sabalenka and third seed Jessica Pegula.

With the pressure that comes with being a Grand Slam champion, Noskova will attempt to maintain the same match-by-match mentality that helped her achieve her Wimbledon breakthrough.
