Xiaomi 17 Max Launched With 200MP Camera and Massive 8,000mAh Battery

IT & Telecom

Xiaomi has officially introduced the new Xiaomi 17 Max, expanding its Xiaomi 17 smartphone lineup with a device focused on battery life and flagship-level performance.

The Xiaomi 17 Max joins the series as a more practical alternative to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. While it skips the secondary rear display found on the Pro Max variant, the smartphone delivers several impressive upgrades, including a powerful 200MP primary camera and a huge 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.

The company claims the device is capable of delivering more than two days of regular usage on a single charge.

Massive Battery With Fast Charging Support

One of the biggest highlights of the Xiaomi 17 Max is its enormous 8,000mAh Si/C battery. According to Xiaomi, the battery is designed to maintain up to 80% of its original capacity even after 1,600 charging cycles, which translates to over four years of daily use.

The device supports ultra-fast 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. In addition, users can also use the phone for 22.5W reverse wired charging to power other compatible devices.

The large battery makes the Xiaomi 17 Max one of the most power-focused flagship smartphones currently available.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Powers the Device

Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17 Max is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The flagship chipset is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast multitasking and improved gaming performance.

The smartphone also features a large 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2608 × 1200 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 3,500 nits peak brightness for improved outdoor visibility.

Other display features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a 32MP front-facing selfie camera placed inside a punch-hole cutout.

Advanced 200MP Camera Setup

On the rear, the Xiaomi 17 Max features a triple-camera system led by a 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.65 aperture.

The setup also includes a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and macro photography support, alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera.

The phone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and comes with IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings.

The Xiaomi 17 Max is available in black, white, and blue colors. Pricing in China starts at CNY 4,799 for the 12GB + 256GB model and reaches CNY 5,799 for the 16GB + 512GB variant.
