Xiaomi MX11 SUV Expected to Debut at October Tech Event

Xiaomi is set to make waves in the automotive world, with reports suggesting that the highly anticipated Xiaomi MX11 SUV might be unveiled at the end of October during a major Xiaomi tech event.

This event, which is expected to showcase a range of new electronics, including the Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi 7 series tablet, a new Xiaomi bracelet, and the latest version of their operating system, could also feature the first public appearance of the MX11 SUV.

The Xiaomi MX11, believed to be the internal code name for the vehicle, is speculated to be revealed without camouflage at this event. However, while the unveiling might occur soon, the official launch and delivery of the MX11 are not expected until 2025.

Details about the Xiaomi MX11 remain scarce, but the SUV is rumored to be an all-electric vehicle. Spy shots hint at a low-profile, sporty SUV with design elements reminiscent of high-end vehicles like the Ferrari Purosangue.

It’s possible that, much like the Xiaomi SU7, the MX11 will feature a design heavily influenced by luxury automotive trends. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has expressed his vision of creating a “dream car” accessible to the masses, and the MX11 seems to align with this ambition.

Interestingly, the popularity of Xiaomi’s automotive ventures has already inspired imitation. Several Chinese manufacturers of low-speed electric vehicles (LSEVs) have started producing vehicles that mimic the design of Xiaomi’s upcoming SUV.

These LSEVs, primarily used by the elder people and restricted to lower speeds, are gaining traction, particularly in Shandong province. However, they lack the advanced features and performance expected from Xiaomi’s original.

The real Xiaomi MX11 is expected to be packed with cutting-edge technology. The test vehicles spotted so far are equipped with Lidar sensors and might utilize an 800V architecture, suggesting high performance and advanced driver-assistance systems.

If Xiaomi does indeed unveil the MX11 in October, it could provide a glimpse into the future of the vehicle, including its innovative features and specifications.

Additionally, reports indicate that Xiaomi’s third vehicle might be an extended-range SUV, anticipated to hit the market in 2026. Priced around 150,000 yuan (approximately 20,950 USD), this model is expected to cater primarily to family-oriented consumers, further expanding Xiaomi’s presence in the electric vehicle market.
