Xiaomi’s highly anticipated smartphone camera powerhouse, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, is set to launch on April 18 , 2023 as announced by the company.

The smartphone will feature a large circular camera island, housing four separate cameras, signaling an improvement from its predecessor.

The company boasts that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will outshine its competition and credits its partnership with Leica, a renowned camera company, for this achievement. With this release, Xiaomi aims to solidify its position in the smartphone market by offering high-quality camera features to its users.

The upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone will feature a new Leica Vario-Summicron lens with a possible f/1.8 aperture for the main shooter and f/3.0 for the telephoto camera. The camera island will have a dual LED flash on the left side, deviating slightly from previous renders. The most recent renders suggest that the phone will have flat sides with a 2.5D curved display.

The smartphone’s camera specs are expected to include a 1″-type Sony IMX989 sensor for the 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide-angle camera, and two 50MP telephoto shooters – one with a periscope lens for enhanced zoom capabilities and the other for portrait photography.
