Zendaya says adopting a new rescue dog was not practical but felt emotionally right for her and Tom Holland

Zendaya and Tom Holland have expanded their pet family after adopting a pocket American Bully from a shelter in Oakland, California.

The couple, who already share two dogs — Noon, a Miniature Schnauzer, and Daphne, a Doberman Pinscher — recently welcomed the new rescue dog into their household.

Speaking in a recent interview with Elle, Zendaya admitted the decision may not have been the most practical one, but said it felt emotionally right.

“Logistically, it wasn’t probably the smartest idea,” the Dune actress said. “But emotionally, it was. He’s a wonderful addition to our family.”

Zendaya explained that she immediately connected with the dog and felt unable to leave it behind.

The couple has largely kept their relationship private since they began dating in 2021 after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The pair became engaged last year, prompting widespread speculation about possible wedding plans in recent months. Some reports have even suggested the couple may have secretly married, although neither Zendaya nor Holland has publicly confirmed such claims.

Holland has previously spoken about their decision to keep their relationship away from the spotlight.

“Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible,” he said in an earlier interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers,” he added.

Fans online reacted warmly to news of the couple’s latest pet adoption, praising their support for rescue animals and their growing family of dogs.
