Cambridge International Education (CIE) will officially release the results for the AS and A Level June 2025 examination series tomorrow, August 12, 2025, at 06:00 BST (UTC+1).
The announcement is eagerly awaited by thousands of students across Pakistan and worldwide, especially in the wake of a high-profile controversy over leaked exam papers earlier this year. Many candidates believe that grade thresholds for this session may be higher than in previous years due to exam paper leaks.
Exam Paper Leak Controversy
The issue gained widespread attention when Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) confirmed that several A Level exam papers from the May/June 2025 session were partially leaked in Pakistan before their scheduled dates. Following an internal investigation, CAIE discovered unauthorized early access to content from three specific papers:
AS & A Level Mathematics Paper 12 – One question leaked prior to the exam date.
AS & A Level Mathematics Paper 42 – Portions of two questions circulated early.
AS & A Level Computer Science Paper 22 – Part of one question accessed in advance.
While the leaks were limited to partial content, CAIE emphasized that there was no evidence of full paper exposure. The organization assured that strict measures have been implemented to safeguard the integrity of its examinations.
Cambridge’s Measures and Support for Students
In its statement, Cambridge confirmed that all affected papers from the June 2025 series will be marked as usual. To ensure fairness and provide support, CAIE has offered free resit opportunities in the November 2025 examination session for candidates in Pakistan who sat for any of the compromised papers. This initiative allows students to improve their grades without paying additional exam fees.
Students Prepare for Results Day
With the release just hours away, students, parents, and schools are on edge, waiting to see how the leaks may have impacted performance outcomes.
The stakes are particularly high for those applying to universities or competitive programs, where grades play a crucial role.
Cambridge reiterated its commitment to upholding examination standards, transparency, and fairness across all global centers. Tomorrow’s results will not only bring clarity after months of preparation and uncertainty but will also help shape the next academic and career steps for thousands of students.
