Andrew Garfield has officially addressed long-running rumors about The Amazing Spider-Man 3, confirming that the long-awaited sequel is not in development.

Fans have been eagerly hoping for a revival since the 42-year-old actor reprised his role in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). However, Garfield set the record straight during a new episode of GQ’s “Actually Me” series, where celebrities go undercover online to answer fan questions.

Using the alias “Actually Andrew Garfield,” the Social Network star replied directly to fans across Reddit, Instagram, and TikTok. When one user asked, “Who said TASM 3 was coming out? Please, I need sources,” Garfield responded bluntly, “It’s not happening, and I don’t believe it ever will.”

He added warmly, “But sweet of you to want it to happen,” acknowledging fans’ loyalty to his portrayal of Peter Parker.

Garfield first donned the Spidey suit in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and returned for 2014’s sequel, which ended with the emotional death of Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone. Despite fan enthusiasm, poor box office performance and the 2014 Sony hack led to the series’ cancellation.

His multiverse comeback in Spider-Man: No Way Home gave fans closure, with many celebrating Garfield’s redemptive return as a heartfelt highlight of the film.
