Hathaway stars in psychological thriller Verity
Away from the red carpet, Hathaway takes on the role of bestselling author Verity Crawford in the psychological thriller, which also stars Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett.
Based on Colleen Hoover’s 2018 novel, the film follows struggling writer Lowen, played by Johnson, who is offered the chance to complete Verity’s successful book series after the author becomes unable to continue her work.
Hartnett plays Jeremy, Verity’s husband, adding another central figure to the film’s tense storyline.
Verity is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, making the New York premiere an important promotional event ahead of its theatrical release.
