Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding lead Return to You, marking Lohan’s latest collaboration with director Mark Waters.
Lindsay Lohan has shared an update on her upcoming Netflix film Return to You, confirming that production is officially under way.
The Freaky Friday star took to Instagram to share a new selfie featuring the script for the upcoming project. Netflix and Lohan also announced that the actress will lead the film alongside Henry Golding.
“Lindsay Lohan and Henry Golding star in RETURN TO YOU, now in production!” the joint announcement stated.
What is Return to You about?
Set in 2008, the upcoming film follows a powerful but lonely attorney whose life takes an unexpected turn after she mistakenly receives an emotional DVD intended for the husband of a dying woman.
After watching the recording, she becomes determined to discover the identity of its intended recipient. Guided by clues contained in the DVD, she sets out to find the man, beginning a personal journey that forms the heart of the story.
The film combines an emotional mystery with a journey of discovery, placing Lohan’s character at the centre of a search sparked by an unexpected message.

Return to You also brings Lohan back together with director Mark Waters, who previously worked with the actress on two of her best-known films.
Lohan and Waters first collaborated on Freaky Friday in 2003 before reuniting for the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls.
Their latest collaboration adds another connection to Lohan’s earlier film career as she continues to expand her work with Netflix.
With production now under way and Golding joining Lohan in the leading cast, Return to You becomes the actress’s latest Netflix project. The streaming service has not yet announced a release date for the film.
The project also gives fans an opportunity to see Lohan and Waters work together again, more than two decades after their earlier collaborations helped establish some of the actress’s most recognisable film roles.
