Apple iOS 27 Leak Reveals Redesigned Siri With AI Features

IT & Telecom

Apple’s upcoming iOS 27 update has leaked ahead of its official unveiling, revealing a major redesign for Siri along with several new AI-powered features. According to a recent Bloomberg report, Apple is preparing one of the biggest upgrades to Siri in years, introducing a smarter interface, chatbot capabilities, and deeper integration across the iPhone experience.

New Siri Interface Coming in iOS 27

The latest leak includes illustrations that reportedly showcase Apple’s redesigned Siri interface. Bloomberg stated that the images were based on information obtained from people familiar with Apple’s plans, though the final design could still change before launch.

One of the biggest changes in iOS 27 is Siri’s integration with the Dynamic Island. Users will reportedly be able to activate Siri either by saying “Siri” or by holding down the power button. This action will trigger a new Siri animation directly within the Dynamic Island area.

Apple is also introducing a fresh “Search or Ask” interface. Users can access it by swiping down from the top-center of the iPhone screen. The feature combines voice commands and text-based searching into a single hub for tasks, web searches, and app controls.

AI-Powered Search and Chatbot Features

The new Search or Ask interface is expected to provide AI-powered search results similar to services like Perplexity AI. Siri will display rich text cards for web results, weather updates, sports scores, messages, notes, calendar appointments, and more.

Users will also be able to continue conversations inside a dedicated Siri chatbot app. The app reportedly resembles popular AI chatbot platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, signaling Apple’s growing focus on artificial intelligence.

Additionally, Apple may allow third-party AI services to integrate directly into iOS 27. Reports suggest users could route requests through external AI systems like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Anthropic’s Claude using a dropdown menu within Siri.

Camera App and Customization Improvements

The iOS 27 leak also highlights changes coming to the Camera app. Apple is reportedly testing a customizable “Add Widgets” panel that lets users pin frequently used camera controls and tools.

AI-powered grammar checking tools and advanced photo editing features such as Extend and Reframe are also expected to arrive with the update.

Apple to Announce iOS 27 at WWDC

Apple is expected to officially announce iOS 27 during its WWDC keynote event on June 8. The company is likely to showcase Siri’s new AI features, redesigned interface, and additional customization tools as part of its next-generation iPhone software experience.
