Apple iPhone 17 Pro to Feature Repositioned Logo, MagSafe Coil

Apple appears to be planning notable design changes in its upcoming iPhone 17 Pro series, with fresh leaks suggesting a shift in both the Apple logo and MagSafe charging coil placement.

According to renowned tipster Majin Bu, the iconic Apple logo on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro will be positioned lower than in previous models—a change that hasn’t been seen since the iPhone 11 series.

The update may not be purely aesthetic. Reports claim that Apple is also realigning the internal MagSafe charging coil to circle the repositioned logo, suggesting a reengineering of internal components that could support better wireless charging alignment or enhance accessory compatibility.

At this stage, the redesign appears exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro lineup. There is currently no indication that the standard iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Air models will feature the updated Apple logo positioning.

The latest information is reportedly sourced from individuals within the case manufacturing industry. Leaker Sonny Dickson further backed the claims by sharing a render that visualizes the changes—highlighting the lower logo placement and the adjusted MagSafe coil location.

Industry experts believe the changes may be driven by the iPhone 17 Pro’s anticipated larger camera island, which could be pushing Apple to rearrange internal elements and redesign the rear layout. Such changes would naturally affect third-party accessory makers, particularly those designing MagSafe-compatible products and cases.

While the renders and sources appear credible, it’s worth noting that none of the information has been officially confirmed by Apple. As with all pre-release leaks, enthusiasts and tech watchers are advised to treat the claims with caution until Apple unveils the device.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 17 lineup in the second half of 2025, as part of its annual product cycle. More details are likely to surface as the launch date approaches.
