Apple has officially confirmed its next big launch event for September 9, where the highly anticipated iPhone 17 lineup will make its debut.
The event, scheduled for 10 AM PT at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, will introduce the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Ahead of the launch, popular tipster Evan Blass shared images on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing new cases for the iPhone 17 series from renowned accessory maker Urban Armor Gear (UAG). These leaked cases give Apple fans an early glimpse at the upcoming smartphones’ design details, particularly the rear camera layouts and button placements.
According to the leaks, the standard iPhone 17 will maintain a design similar to the outgoing iPhone 16. However, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max appear to feature a redesigned rear camera module, signaling Apple’s continued push to enhance its photography system. Both models will also include cutouts for the much-talked-about Action Button and Camera Control, confirming earlier reports.
Interestingly, the iPhone 17 Air stands out with a single rear camera housed in a pill-shaped module, drawing comparisons to Google Pixel phones. The Air model will also feature the Action Button and Camera Control, bringing advanced functionality to a more affordable iPhone option.
In addition to the new iPhone 17 series, Apple is expected to roll out the stable versions of its latest operating systems, including iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and macOS Tahoe 26, during the September 9 event. These updates are designed to optimize performance, improve security, and introduce new features across Apple’s ecosystem.
With just days left until the official unveiling, excitement is building among Apple fans and tech enthusiasts worldwide. The leaks have only added to the anticipation, as users eagerly await to see how Apple will refine its flagship lineup while introducing fresh innovations.
