Apple’s upcoming Pro models appear in leaked hands-on footage, revealing new colour options ahead of the company’s September 9 event
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have reportedly appeared in a leaked hands-on video ahead of the company’s highly anticipated launch event, offering an early look at the smartphones and their new colour options.
The leaked footage allegedly shows an iPhone 18 Pro Max in Dark Cherry and an iPhone 18 Pro in Blue, giving consumers a closer look at Apple’s upcoming flagship models before their expected official unveiling.
Apple is scheduled to hold its iPhone launch event on September 9, where it is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro lineup alongside its first foldable iPhone.
Dark Cherry Expected to Be Hero Colour
Recent leaks have suggested that the iPhone 18 Pro series will be offered in Dark Cherry, Black and Sky Blue colour options.
Dark Cherry, which has also been referred to as Burgundy in previous reports, is expected to serve as the standout or “hero” colour for this year’s Pro models. The leaked footage appears to provide the first practical glimpse of how the shade looks on the larger Pro Max and standard Pro models.
Despite the new colours, Apple is not expected to introduce a major redesign with the iPhone 18 Pro series. The overall appearance is reportedly set to remain broadly similar to the iPhone 17 Pro lineup, with colour changes among the most noticeable differences.
New Camera and Performance Upgrades
While the external design may remain familiar, Apple is reportedly preparing several hardware upgrades for the Pro models.
The iPhone 18 Pro series is rumoured to feature a new primary rear camera with variable aperture, potentially giving users greater control over photography in different lighting conditions.
The smartphones are also expected to use Apple’s A20 Pro chipset, along with a new modem and slightly larger batteries. These upgrades could improve performance, connectivity and battery life compared with the current generation.
Apple is expected to reveal the official specifications, pricing and availability of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at its September 9 event.
